Project Description:

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

1. Frontend Web Development

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using:

- React

- JavaScript

- HTML

- CSS

• Develop reusable UI components and frontend modules.

2. Application Enhancement & Delivery

• Support project delivery, enhancement requests, and defect fixes.

• Collaborate with business analysts, backend developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.

• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

3. Build & Deployment Support

• Support application build, deployment, and release activities.

• Work with CI/CD and deployment tools where applicable:

- Jenkins

- Apache Maven

- Gradle

- Artifactory

- Rocket Aldon

4. Database & Integration Support

• Work with Oracle Database for application integration and query

validation.

• Support frontend integration with backend services and APIs.

5. Production Support & Troubleshooting

• Analyse and resolve production issues and application defects.

• Support deployment validation and post-release activities.

• Ensure application stability and performance optimization.

6. Environment & Platform Support

• Work within enterprise Unix environments including:

- HPUX

- Linux

- Solaris

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 6-9 years of experience in web application development

• Strong hands-on experience in:

- JavaScript

- HTML

- CSS

- React

• Experience in frontend application development and UI engineering

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Experience in enterprise application delivery environments

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience in:

- Java

- Spring

- XML

- SQL

- Unix Shell Scripting

• Exposure to:
