Macondray Holdings Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based investment holding company with Joint ventures and investments in the region. We are focused on identifying, supporting, and growing businesses across selected sectors. We are seeking a commercially minded, proactive, and highly capable professional to work closely with the Executive Director in evaluating investment opportunities, supporting portfolio activities, and driving strategic initiatives.

This is a broad-based role offering meaningful exposure to investment evaluation, business development, portfolio oversight, and transaction execution, with the opportunity to progressively assume greater responsibility over time.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Director in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new investment opportunities, partnerships, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Conduct market, industry, competitive, and company-specific research to support investment evaluation and commercial decision-making.
  • Assist in the assessment of potential transactions, including business analysis, financial review, risk assessment, and preparation of investment materials.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, investment papers, business cases, briefing notes, and reports for internal decision-making and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor investment pipeline activity, transaction progress, portfolio company performance, and key operational developments requiring management attention.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counterparties, including advisors, investee companies, financial institutions, legal counsel, and service providers, to support transaction execution and ongoing portfolio matters.
  • Track action items, timelines, deliverables, and follow-up across multiple transactions, projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Attend meetings with the Executive Director where required, synthesise discussions into clear action points, and ensure effective follow-through.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Director, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the role develops.

Requirements:

  • Good degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognised university; professional accounting or finance qualifications will be an advantage.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, transaction advisory, consulting, strategic planning, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgement, with the ability to evaluate business opportunities critically and pragmatically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and maturity in handling confidential and commercially sensitive matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
