About the Role
Are you a qualified educator who loves the classroom but wants a role that offers a unique balance? Do you thrive on collaboration and dynamic teaching environments?
We are seeking a talented, fully qualified Teaching Partner to join our team. This is not your average assistant role. As a Teaching Partner, you will be the right hand to our lead classroom teacher, actively co-planning, designing engaging activities, and leading small groups. Crucially, because of your teaching credentials, you will be our relief teacher, stepping in to seamlessly lead the classroom whenever a lead teacher is absent.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the teacher to brainstorm, design and prepare creative, hands-on learning activities and resources
- Lead small-group interventions, guided reading, and extension activities to ensure every child is challenged and supported.
- Confidently take over full-class teaching responsibilities during planned or unplanned teacher absences, maintaining established routines and high instructional standards.
- Partner in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assist with essential classroom logistics, material preparation, and all prep work to keep the learning engine running smoothly.
- Run a class for a small group of children who attend the extension session from 2:30 to 3:30 pm (Mon-Fri).
