Job Summary
The Aftersales & Technical Support Technician is a critical hands-on role responsible for providing direct technical support and service for installed Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at customer sites. Working under the guidance of the Aftersales & Technical Support Engineer, this position involves troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and commissioning assistance during the operational phase, ensuring high system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Field Service & Troubleshooting
· Execute field assignments for scheduled maintenance, corrective actions, or emergency support.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in BESS, including battery modules, PCS, BMS, and cooling systems.
· Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, clamp meters, software tools) for root cause analysis and onsite repair.
Preventive Maintenance
· Conduct preventive maintenance checks on BESS units.
· Identify and report any potential issues based on performance metrics and physical inspection.
Technical Assistance & Training
· Provide operational and safety briefings to customers under the engineer’s guidance.
· Support the Aftersales & Technical Support Engineer in field diagnostics and resolution.
Documentation & Reporting
· Record detailed service logs, reports, parts usage, and troubleshooting steps.
· Relay key findings and service progress to engineers and internal stakeholders.
Safety & Compliance
· Adhere to all electrical safety standards, site regulations, and Durapower protocols.
· Ensure safe conduct of work during all on-site activities.
Requirements:
· Diploma or Nitec in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Power Systems, or a related field.
· Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on field service experience in battery systems, electrical systems, or power electronics. Remunerations will correspond with total years of experience.
· Experience with lithium-ion systems, BMS, PCS, or TMS will be a plus.
· Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electrical systems, and test equipment.
· Ability to read schematics and understand technical documentation.
· Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods.
· Strong communication and reporting skills.
· Problem-solving mindset and technical curiosity.
· Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
· Willingness to travel within Singapore and regionally as needed.
· Electrical certifications (e.g., WSQ, Electrical Worker License) will be a plus.
