Handle employee relations matters including disciplinary cases, grievances, domestic inquiries, non-confirmation of probation employees, termination/dismissal and performance improvement plan.
Assist in managing Industrial Relations matters and ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and regulations.
Draft HR correspondence such as Show Cause Letter, Warning Letters, and other IR/ER-related documentation.
Conduct workplace investigations and prepare investigation reports with recommendation.
Liaise with government aithorities such as the Labour Department and Industrial Relations Department, and represent the company in proceedings when required.
Assist in the establishment and review of HR-IR policies to ensure full compliance with the Employment Act 1955 (amendment 2022), Industrial Relations Act 1967 and other related labor, ensuring alignment with current legal requirements.
Assist in Human Rights Due Diligence process, including survey, follow ups, analysis and stakeholder engagement
Conduct training sessions (e.g., induction and IR/ER-related topics) when required.
Provide guidance to employee and line managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices in employee management.
Support any ad-hoc tasks, activities, or programmes organised by GHR or the Company.
Requirements and Qualification:
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Law or related field with minimum 2-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in Industrial Relations / Employee Relations.
Professional HR/IR certification (e.g., MIHRM, SHRM, CIPD) will be an added advantage
Strong knowledge of the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967 and other relevant labour laws.
Hands-on experience in handling disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries and employee relations cases.
Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Skilled in drafting HR documentation (e.g. policies, show cause letters, warning letters and others)
Confident in handling disciplinary and sensitive employee matters, with strong problem-solving and decision making skills.
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
