Key Accountabilities
Planning Phase (in KL office, as and when required by the Company)
- Prepare, in consultation with Head of Drilling and Drilling Superintendent, Detailed Drilling Guidelines, Drilling and Well Testing Look-ahead, and various reporting forms to be used on MODU.
- Review various drilling documents such as Drilling Program, MPD Program, Well Control Procedure, Equipment Load-Out List, Personnel Master Load-Out List and MODU Corrective Action List and follow up as required.
- Fully understand the contents of HSE related documents such as HSE Management System, Emergency Response Plan, Oil Spill Response Plan, Blowout Response Plan, HSE Bridging Document and Waste Management Plan.
- Team lead in driving safety campaign i.e. Hand & Finger Injury, DROPS, Line of Fire, Process Safety etc.
- Attend workshop in office i.e. Hazip/Hazop, Drill Well On Paper (DWOP), Well Test on Paper (WTOP) & etc and provide the necessary inputs to the drilling program and risk assessment registor.
Operations Phase on Rig
- Take a overall responsibility of all day to day operation on the MODU including well testing to ensure no NPT without safety issues on the MODU. Full control and full responsibility to prevent and regain control any well control event.
- Prepare and endorse Daily Drilling Report and Operations Look-ahead and monitor and evaluate well conditions.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day communication with the rig contractor and service contractors on the MODU.
- Prepare next 24 hours program or SID to fulfil drilling program in an efficient and safe manner.
- Report to and discuss with Drilling superintendent to receive endorsement of plan including SID.
- Oversee logistic plan and execution including personnel and equipment with Wellsite material coordinator. Assist the Wellsite Material Coordinator in preparation of Material Call-out.
- Ensure operations are carried out in compliance with safety and environmental protection regulations, Xplora HSEMS and DMS and other regulatory requirements.
- Be a member of the on-site response team in the event of an emergency and/or oil spill situation.
Post-Operations Phase (in KL office, as and when required)
- Assist to prepare Contractor's Performance Appraisal
- Document lessons learnt on the MODU and attend the post-drilling meeting with key personnel assigned to the drilling and well testing program including service contractors.
Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or similar).
- Minimum 15 years of diversified experiences in drilling activities.
- Minimum 10 years combined experience in the offshore drilling supervisor position of an oil company and the senior supervisory position (tool-pusher and above) of a drilling contractor.
- Has working experience in Jack Up MODU.
- HPHT/Managed Pressure Drilling Experiences.
- Valid IWCF Well control Level 4 or equivalent, Medical and T-BOSIET.
- Has experience of HPHT Well.
- Has experience of supervision of Well Testing.
- Strong leadership
- Accountability in overall operation.
