Job Title: Database Engineer (L2) – Infrastructure Support

Job Summary

We are looking for a Database Engineer (L2) to support infrastructure within the Service Build Engineering (SBE – Post Build) domain.

This role involves database build, administration, and support across enterprise platforms including Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in database setup, high availability (HA/DR), performance tuning, and troubleshooting in Unix/Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and administration of database systems (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB)
• Manage High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) setups such as RAC, Data Guard, Always On
• Handle backup and recovery operations using tools like RMAN
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
• Troubleshoot database build, integration, and production issues
• Ensure database security, hardening, and compliance
• Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, I/O, disk) and optimize resources
• Work closely with infrastructure and application teams for deployment and support

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a Database Engineer / DBA
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DBA (build, admin, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, expdp/impdp)
• Strong experience with MSSQL DBA (Always On, backup & recovery, DBCC, performance tuning)
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database query optimization
• Experience in database security and compliance practices
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting database and integration issues

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to MariaDB
• Experience with Sybase
• Experience working in mixed database environments
