Function & Primary Responsibilities
Operation and Maintenance
- Responsible for overseeing the functioning of various water treatment equipment, such as pumps, filters, and chemical dosing systems.
- Able to prepare chemicals according to the procedure.
- Able to adjust dosage of chemicals based on effluent water quality.
- Able adjust treatment processes to ensure effective treatment.
- Perform preventive and minor corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.
Monitoring and Testing
- Conduct daily monitoring for parameters that required.
- Keep accurate records of operational data and test results for reporting purposes.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
- Able to identify and address issue with the equipment of processes. Diagnose and resolve operational issues in treatment processes or equipment.
Record and Documentation
- Maintaining accurate records of water quality data, equipment readings, and daily monitoring record.
Emergency Response
- Being prepared to respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures, spills, or other incidents that could impact the wastewater treatment process.
Communication and Training
- Able to communicate information about the wastewater treatment process and address concerns to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Conduct training from time to time to operators on the process and minor maintenance
Inspection
- Perform routine inspection on all wastewater treatment plant equipment according to the given checklist.
Skills
- Able to perform basic calculations (plus, minus, multiply, divide) & understand the logic for such calculations.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to operate laboratory and monitoring instruments.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
