You will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of the risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks within the organization. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports. You will work closely with management and various business units to foster a culture of risk awareness and regulatory adherence.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk Review and Compliance Monitoring:

  • Conduct regulatory compliance reviews to ensure adherence to applicable laws, guidelines, and internal standards.
  • Conduct risk assessment and review activities in accordance with agreed scopes, work plans, and internal policies.
  • Conduct operational, compliance, and risk reviews to identify control gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Execute testing, walkthroughs, and documentation reviews to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Prepare working papers, review findings, and draft reports with clear documentation of observations and recommendations.
  • Monitor the implementation and closure of findings, corrective actions, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Liaise with internal departments to obtain information, supporting documents, and clarification during review exercises.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process and control enhancements.


New Product Risk Assessment:

  • Assist to conduct risk assessment for proposed new products to ensure risks of initiatives are adequately addressed, and recommend strategies to mitigate the risks.


Regulatory Compliance & Licensing:

  • Study, understand, and stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing current and future products and services offered by the Company.
  • Study, understand, and stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and policies applicable to potential new products, delivery channels, and geographical expansions.
  • Assist in the review and preparation of documents, papers, proposals, and submissions related to regulatory and licensing matters.


Investigation and Reporting:

  • Assist to investigate regulatory issues, providing insightful reports on detective, preventive, and corrective measures to the management and Head of Department.


Ad Hoc Assignments:

  • Tackle any other matters assigned by the management, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach.



REQUIREMENTS

  • Fresh graduates / candidates with less than two (2) years of working experience in auditing, risk management, or compliance are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in e-wallet, payment services, remittance, or banking industries will be an added advantage.
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Banking, Economics, Business Studies, or related fields.
  • Candidates with professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or CLP will have an added advantage.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Must be based in / willing to work at the Kuala Lumpur office.
  • Willing to travel as and when required for work purposes.



Salary Range:

RM3,500 – RM5,000
