Job Description

• Develop business plan and strategy to enhance Surbana Jurong presence in Malaysia Port and Maritime Sector.
• Work jointly with sub-regional lead to develop budget.
• Develop marketing strategy and deploy marketing campaign within approved budget.
• Engage Port and Maritime clients in Malaysia. Lead the discussion with clients to appraise SJ P&M capabilities.
• Build strategic relationships with key clients.
• Liaise and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.
• Lead vendor registration process for potential Ports and Maritime clients in Malaysia.
• Act as a bid manager and lead tender submission. Work closely with sub-regional lead on internal approval process for tender submission.
• Lead team of engineers and draftspersons.
• Act as project manager and project reviewer for successful delivery of the projects.
• Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintain high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.
• Assist sub-regional lead for internal reporting requirements.

Job Specification

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering
• Preferable, Masters of Engineering in either Structural Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• Total 12 to 15 yrs of experience.
• Minimum 5 years for experience in coastal / port development projects in Malaysia
• Experience in Business Development and Tender Preparation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Experience in port design or port construction management will be preferred.
• Willing to take up multiple role such as Business development / Bid Management / Project Management
