Automation Software Engineer (PLC Programming) – $4,000 to $6,000 + Bonus

Join a leading Singapore-based automation engineering company serving the semiconductor and electronics industries. Be part of a highly technical team that designs and builds advanced automated production systems for global customers.

We are seeking a skilled Automation Software Engineer with strong PLC programming expertise to develop, integrate, and support high-performance control systems from design through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow SDLC to develop reliable, maintainable automation software based on user requirements
• Draft functional and detailed design specifications
• Analyse client requirements and define design parameters for automation solutions
• Participate in control system requirement analysis
• Design and update electrical schematics and engineering drawings
• Source electrical components and prepare BOM
• Program PLC and HMI systems (Omron, Mitsubishi, Proface)
• Perform system integration, testing, debugging, and commissioning
• Maintain technical documentation and project records
• Conduct electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and software improvements
• Provide remote and on-site customer support, including overseas assignments
• Ensure project timelines and quality standards are met

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control, or relevant Engineering field
• 2 years of experience in automation, semiconductor, or manufacturing industry
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills (Omron, Mitsubishi, Proface)
• Knowledge of motion control, analog, PID, and process control
• Familiar with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherCAT, EIP)
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics
• Willing to travel overseas when required
