About the role

The Learning & Development Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating training programs to enhance employees’ knowledge, skills, and overall performance within the travel management industry. The role includes delivering operational, customer service, systems, product, and compliance training to ensure consistent service excellence and operational efficiency across the organization.

This is a full-time position based at our Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

Training & Development

  • Design, prepare, and deliver training programs for new hires and existing employees.

  • Conduct onboarding and refresher training for travel consultants, customer service teams, sales teams, and operational staff.

  • Develop training materials, manuals, SOP guides, presentations, and assessment tools.

  • Identify training needs through performance reviews, operational feedback, and business requirements.

  • Ensure employees are trained on company products, travel systems, booking procedures, and customer service standards.

Product & System Training
  • Provide training on Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.

  • Conduct training on airline ticketing, hotel reservations, corporate travel policies, and travel documentation requirements.

  • Keep employees updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and operational changes.

Performance & Evaluation
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and post-training evaluations.

  • Track employee training records and prepare training reports for management.

  • Recommend improvements to training programs and employee development initiatives.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all training programs comply with company policies and industry standards.

  • Support service quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

  • Assist in maintaining consistent service delivery standards across departments.

Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with department heads and managers to identify competency gaps.

  • Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement and career development.

  • Coordinate external training programs when required.

What we're looking for

  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Tourism & Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.

  2. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or operational training.

  3. Experience in the travel, tourism, airline, or hospitality industry is preferred.

  4. Knowledge of travel management operations and corporate travel processes.

  5. Familiarity with GDS systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is an added advantage.

  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  7. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  8. Strong coaching and facilitation abilities.

  9. Good organizational and time management skills.

  10. Ability to prepare structured training materials and SOP documentation.

  11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.

  13. Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.

  14. Certified Trainer certification (e.g. HRD Corp TTT Certification) is an added advantage.

  15. Experience conducting both physical and virtual training sessions.

  16. Experience in customer service training within the travel industry.
