Technical Support Engineer – Media Solutions (Remote)

We are a software company providing media management solutions for broadcasters, production teams, publishers, and creative organisations worldwide. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our growing team and support customers across Mac, Windows, and Linux environments.

This is a remote position with occasional travel opportunities for onsite deployments, training, and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote software installation, configuration, and upgrade support for customers
• Assist customers with troubleshooting application, system, and networking issues
• Deliver basic product onboarding and user training sessions
• Handle first-level technical support requests and escalate advanced issues to the engineering team when required
• Support integrations with storage systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications
• Assist with deployment and configuration in Linux, Windows, and macOS environments
• Maintain clear documentation of customer issues, configurations, and resolutions
• Occasionally travel (approximately 4–5 times per year) for onsite setup, training, or customer meetings

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems
• Comfortable working with command line interfaces (CLI)
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols including SMB, NFS, TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs
• Basic understanding of server environments, storage systems, and virtualization
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM), broadcast, post-production, or video workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Dropbox, or OneDrive
• Some experience with Java, Python or other programming languages
• Experience supporting media, video, or creative workflow applications
• Knowledge of Docker, VMware, or Linux server administration is a plus
