JOB SUMMARY (A general overview of the job)
The Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of building systems through preventive, corrective, and total facility maintenance activities. This role supports a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained environment by responding promptly to maintenance requests, coordinating with contractors, and performing regular inspections. The position requires strong technical knowledge, hands‑on problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
JOB SCOPE
The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, civil, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems, including responding to customer complaints within agreed service levels. It involves supervising contractors, conducting inspections, maintaining equipment inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards. The incumbent also supports audits, documentation, energy conservation, and environmental health and safety initiatives, while undertaking additional duties as required by management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (The main duties and responsibilities of the role (List in order of importance and list amount of time spent on task)
- Perform Plan Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), Schedule Corrective Maintenance (SCM) AND Total Facility Maintenance (TFM) request but not limited to mechanical, electrical, civil and structure troubleshooting, repair work including follow-up work.
- Attend customers’ complaints, check and ensure all defects are attended to within service level agreement in a specific timeframe.
- Monitor and supervise all work carried out by appointed contractors but not limited to maintenance work, repairs, installations, construction and soft services at the facility to ensure work scope, safety and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular inspection to identify abnormality and necessary maintenance at assigned location.
- Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
- Carry out plant inspection and audits to ensure compliance and appropriate standards including to manage site logs and activity logs.
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance, energy conservation, environmental health and safety programmes.
- Ensure all areas of the facility in the building comply with local regulation by conducting appropriate risk assessment and safety awareness.
- Undertake any other tasks and assignments as directed by immediate supervisor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate / Diploma / Advanced / Higher Diploma
- Candidate with some working experience in technical / related field preferable with basic technical knowledge are welcome.
- Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sanitary and building maintenance.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and process related problem.
- Experience in preparing and proposing permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
