The Role

As a Business Development Associate at Lestori Books, you would help build and develop the business. You would participate in strategy and execution relevant to developing the business, from generating leads and crafting communications, to marketing and rolling out our technology in schools.

This role is an exceptional opportunity for someone who wants to get involved in every aspect of building a business. You will be involved in strategy and planning across marketing, PR, and sales execution. You will gain exposure to the commercial and legal dimensions of business, including understanding what customers are really saying, and crafting compelling product features and communicating them to our customers.

We believe that great business development is not about hard selling. It is about identifying the genuine pain points of your customers and helping them solve those problems. As such, this role is centred on listening, understanding, and delivering real solutions.

Responsibilities

• Generating leads through targeted communications, PR, and marketing — with occasional direct sales.
• Identifying and cultivating relationships with school leadership and decision-makers.
• Crafting communications to schools, parents, and stakeholders, including answering FAQs and support materials.
• Supporting the team where you can, including the rollout and implementation of our technology in partner schools.

Requirements

• Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree from a recognised institution.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin; Cantonese fluency is a strong advantage.
• A genuine growth mindset — proactive, eager to learn, and willing to put in the work.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to listen carefully and understand what people truly need.
• Energetic, positive, and excited about joining a mission that matters.
