Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Aluminium Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience specifically in high-grade aluminium fabrication, demonstrating a deep understanding of the material's unique thermal properties and surface preparation requirements. You will be responsible for producing high-quality TIG and MIG welds on aluminium structures, ensuring precision and structural integrity in every project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Specialized Welding: Perform expert-level TIG and MIG welding primarily on aluminium (and occasionally stainless steel or copper) in vertical, flat, and overhead positions.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and assembly sequences.
- Precision Fabrication: Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures. Perform bonding, heating, or soldering of fabricated metal components to exact specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test completed workpieces for cracks, porosity, or distortion using measuring tools to ensure 100% conformance to technical designs.
- Machine Calibration: Set up and monitor welding equipment, adjusting voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow to manage aluminium’s high thermal conductivity.
- Safety & Maintenance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the consistent use of specialized PPE (heat-resistant gloves, respiratory masks, and safety shoes). Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Collaboration: Maintain a positive, professional attitude; work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional production team.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience specifically focused on aluminium welding and fabrication.
- Certification: Must possess a valid AWS (American Welding Society) certificate or equivalent welding apprenticeship certification.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise in handling thin-gauge sheet metal and large structural aluminium components without causing warping or "burn-through."
- Detail Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing aesthetically clean, "stack-of-dimes" TIG welds.
- Tool Competency: Skilled in the use of power tools, grinders, and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) equipment.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
