Business Solutions Architect The opportunity

As a Senior Business Solution Architect, you will lead the development of business architecture, capability maps, and solution blueprints for banking initiatives (e.g., digital onboarding, lending, payments, compliance, core modernisation).

Your key responsibilities

· Lead the development of business architecture, capability maps, and solution blueprints for banking initiatives

· Translate business needs into holistic solution designs that reflect product, process, data, and risk considerations.

· Develop future-state business models and customer journey designs to guide transformation.

· Ensure solutions are feasible, compliant, and aligned with banking policies, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks

Banking Domain Analysis

· Analyse and interpret requirements across banking domains such as:

· Retail and SME lending & deposits

· Payments and cards

· Regulatory reporting and compliance (AML, KYC, Basel, MAS/BNM guidelines)

· Provide advisory to business teams on industry best practices, regulatory impacts, product design options, and process improvements.

Stakeholder Communication and Management

· Work closely with product owners, business users, operations, risk, and compliance teams to:

· Validate business needs

· Shape solution scope

· Assess impacts on upstream/downstream processes

· Conduct gap analyses, feasibility studies, and business impact assessments.

· Drive alignment between business goals and solution direction through structured workshops and documentation.

Solution Governance & Implementation Support

· Serve as the architecture lead during the solution lifecycle, ensuring the delivered outcome matches the approved business architecture.

· Collaborate with technology architects to ensure business design is translated accurately into system and integration architectures.

· Highlight solution risks, dependencies, and business change impacts early in the project.

Industry Insight & Strategic Advisory

· Stay updated on banking trends (e.g. Digital identity & eKYC, Open banking / API ecosystems, etc.)

· Provide thought leadership on business transformation pathways and modernization strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

· A bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 10-years working experience, preferably at least 5-years in a business/ management consultancy organization focusing on banking and financial services client/ industry

· Professional presence with the ability to engage management level clients as well as internal leadership stakeholders

· Relevant industry recognised certification (e.g. TOGAF, Azure/ AWS Certified Architect, etc.)
