Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The F&B Supervisor oversees daily operations of the restaurant, bar, or outlet to ensure exceptional service standards, efficient team performance, and a positive guest dining experience. This role supports management in staff supervision, training, and maintaining operational readiness, especially during peak service periods.

Key Responsibilities

Service Operations & Guest Experience

  • Supervise daily F&B operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Greet guests, monitor dining satisfaction, and handle feedback or complaints professionally.
  • Ensure service standards, sequence of service, and grooming guidelines are consistently followed.
  • Assist in managing reservations, table allocation, and guest flow during busy periods.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, guide, and motivate service staff during shifts.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to share daily updates, specials, and guest notes.
  • Train new staff on menu knowledge, service skills, and outlet procedures.
  • Support performance evaluations and coaching initiatives.

Operational & Administrative Tasks

  • Oversee opening and closing duties to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies, equipment, and linen levels; report shortages to the manager.
  • Assist in managing POS operations, billing accuracy, and cash handling.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with Kitchen, Bar, Stewarding, and other departments to ensure timely service.
  • Assist in coordinating special events, promotions, and group bookings.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to maintain a positive work environment.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all staff follow safety procedures, including fire, emergency, and food safety protocols.
  • Report any maintenance, equipment issues, or hazards to the F&B Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.

· Minimum 2 years of F&B experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

· Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills.

· Good knowledge of service standards, menu items, beverages, and POS systems.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

· Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
