Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements. This role involves handling routine accounting tasks, assisting in financial reporting, and coordinating with internal and external parties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Handle day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger entries;
2. Process and verify staff claims, supplier invoices, and payments in accordance with company
policies;
3. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules;
4. Support tax-related matters including SST (if applicable) and ensure timely submission in compliance with LHDN requirements;
5. Assist in audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and supporting schedules;
6. Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records, ensuring accuracy and completeness;
7. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow when required;
8. Liaise with internal departments and external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and vendors;
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
10. Handle ad hoc tasks / assignments assigned by supervisor.
Additional Details: Able to accept Indians/Malays that can speak fluent Mandarin too
