Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer who is actively registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). This role requires strong technical acumen in structural analysis and design review for mixed-development projects. You will act as a key technical competency lead, ensuring structural integrity and compliance throughout the sub-structural and superstructural phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all structural works comply with local by-laws, Malaysian Standards (MS), and international codes (Eurocode/BS).
- Design Review: Review and coordinate structural drawings, shop drawings, and calculations provided by consultants for both sub-structure and super-structure works.
- Site Engineering: Resolve technical queries (RFI) raised by the site team or sub-contractors regarding rebar details, concrete grades, and structural connections.
- Authority Liaison: Assist in technical dealings with local authorities and utility providers to facilitate approvals.
- Inspection: Conduct periodic site inspections to verify that structural works (formwork, reinforcement, concreting) are executed according to the approved design and specifications.
Requirements
- Professional Registration: Mandatory active registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Note: Candidates must include their BEM Registration Reference Number in their CV for verification.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience in mixed-development projects, specifically covering complex sub-structural and superstructural works.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability: Must be willing to work in the Klang Valley.
- Notice Period: Candidates with a 1-month notice period or immediate availability are highly preferred.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
