Responsible to develop EDM Wire & Sinker programs by CAD/CAM software to produce machined parts on Wire EDM & Sinker. Set up and operate machines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

1. Authority to manage the machining process and take necessary action to ensure the quality, safety and health hazard of the products.

Key Job Accountability

1. Work directly with design engineers to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images.

2. Generate EDM Wire & Sinker programs from the Master CAM software.

3. Prepare EDM Wire & Sinker machine set up sheet with cutting tool list, set up instructions & controls.

4. Control the handling of EDM Wire & Sinker programs from server to CNC machines.

5. Create and maintain the part manufacturing processes.

6. Set up and operate CNC machines as needed.

7. Performs product / process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.

8. Responsible for detailed DFM for Capability Pinch Points to ensure successful implementation of process plan

Education/Training/Experience:

1. Degree or high school diploma in Mechanical Engineering or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

2. Possess at least 2 years of work experience as a EDM Wire & Sinker Programmer.

3. Hands-on experience in product, tooling and fixture design in mechanical related industry

4. Hands-on experience in manufacturing of mechanical components for Fiber Optics, Cell Phone and related industry.

5. Utilizing software for solid modeling and Master CAM, worked in machine shop.

6. Background of tool & die, EDM Wire & Sinker machining, precision tooling, stamping, extrusion, die casting and plastic mold design background.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

1. Excellent organizational and leadership skills

2. Good understanding of SPC, GD&T and Std ANSI Y 14.5

3. Solidworks and Creo knowledge & application.

4. Possess strong analytical skills and able to solve complex mechanical & tooling problem, proficient in using machine shop equipment will be an added advantage.

5. Good communication and language skills required for English.

Job Types: Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
