SUMMARY

Ensures all revenue generated by the hotel is accurately recorded and reported. Verifies daily revenue reports from all outlets, checks for discrepancies, reconciles POS and PMS reports, and investigates any irregularities. Supports financial transparency and compliance with internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains organised files of all pertinent audit records.
• Provides the appropriate level of professional, courteous and caring service to other employees (internal customers) and other visitors to the division.
• Ensures all employees provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
• Understands thoroughly Hard Rock International objectives in Income Audit as to provide an effective auditing system for all hotel revenues and receipts.
• Provides a system of monitoring the data input by operation level personnel.
• Audits charges to City Ledger and credit card companies before forwarding them to the Accounts Receivable sections.
• Audits daily Rooms and Food and Beverage revenue summaries and their supporting transaction reports of the Night Audit Process.
• Ensures that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.

REQUIREMENTS

• Secondary school degree preferred and/or previous work experience in service for at least 2 years.
• Ability to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate information and ideas.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
• Strong command of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (MICROS Opera, Sabre/SYNXIS, Delphi, SUN, etc.).
