Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product, Design and Business teams to develop and maintain digital solutions for our prestigious clients in large commercial enterprises.
• Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on Product Roadmap and product requirements.
• Improve product quality, security, and performance.
• Lead, determine solutions and resolve complex and significant software problems and related hardware product problem.
• Be a technical lead & mentor to support the hiring talent and seeking partnership, and putting them in the best position to work productively.
• Generate and implement project management process.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions, product architecture, and other areas.
• Maintain empathy for the team by keeping awareness of engineering processes and practices e.g. evaluating individual work flow during one on ones, conducting code reviews, or working on non-critical path bugs and/or features.
• Give regular and clear feedback around the individual's performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant qualifications
• 8+ years of full-stack software development experience in performance-critical applications that run in a production environment
• 3+ years as lead/principal engineer or architect role with current technical experience
• Proficient in Java development with excellent knowledge of Spring Boot framework. One or more secondary programming languages/frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core, NodeJS, GO, Python, Kotlin, C#
• Proficiency and hands on experience with web development stacks such as JavaScript, HTML & CSS, React with Typescript, Node.js, – you understand not only how to build the data, but how to make it look great too
• Working experience with REST APIs development and integration
• Knowledge in one or more of the following: NoSQL technologies (ElasticSearch, Redis), Queueing system experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ), Middleware (Tomcat, Nginx)
• Experience in using database such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience in container lifecycle and orchestration (e.g. Docker, K8S)
• Familiar with software development skills, such as agile methodologies, testing, version control, and CI/CD
• Understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography (AES256, RSA, ECDSA etc)
• Be motivated in continuous learning and improvement to enhance your skills in an ever-changing environment
• Great communication and coordination skills
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English for professional business communication. Proficiency in Mandarin languages is a plus.

Good to Have:

• Experience in Android / IOS development
• Experience in a data driven company with experience analysing and working with Big Data
• Hands-on experience on server setup and maintenance, DevOps, and experience working with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure) will be an advantage
• Knowledge in physical architecture at scale, building resilient, no single point of failures, highly available solutions
• Experience in microservices health monitoring using monitoring tools
