Role Overview:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Sales Associate/Sales Associate based in 118 Mall, Kuala Lumpur. The Senior Sales Associate/Sales Associate will project Tanoti’s values to protect heritage, empower women and build rural communities. The candidate will also be expected to deliver efficient customer service, understand customer needs, and provide personalised product recommendations to create a meaningful shopping experience. The role also involves supporting daily store operations, maintaining visual standards, managing stock, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming retail experience.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide meaningful product storytelling.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups).
• Support daily store operations including stock receiving, replenishment, and inventory management.
• Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat visits.
• Ensure compliance with store SOPs, visual merchandising standards, and housekeeping duties.
• Drive sales through cross-selling, upselling, and personalised product recommendations.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of sales experience (artisan craftsmanship or fashion retail preferred).
• Knowledge of fashion trends and competitors is an advantage.
• A combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, responsible, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working on rotational shifts (including weekends and public holidays).
• Experience in luxury retail, clienteling, or customer relationship building is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email) and ability to operate POS systems.
