Position Details

Job Title: Project Manager

Job Type: Contract

Department: Strategy and Operations

Position reports to: Strategy & Operations Manager

Job Overview

Project Manager is responsible in planning, executing, monitoring and closing projects within agreed timeline, scope and budget. The incumbent also will be the primary point of contact for project-related matters and accountable for overall project delivery and performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Providing leadership and direction for assigned projects.

- Managing project scope, timeline, cost and quality to meet contractual obligations.

- Leading cross-functional teams including technical, support and operational staff.

- Monitoring project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

- Ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual requirements and regulatory standards.

- Reporting project status, progress, risks, and issues to Management and clients.

- Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the escalation point for major issues.

Other Responsibilities and Duties

- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules and work breakdown structures.

- Coordinating project kick-off meetings, progress meetings and stakeholder updates.

- Tracking deliverables and ensuring timely completion of milestones.

- Managing resource allocation and ensuring optimal utilisation of manpower.

- Reviewing technical documentation, system specifications and implementation plans.

- Overseeing testing, deployment and project handover processes.

- Preparing project documentation including reports, minutes of meetings and change requests.

- Managing project budgets and monitoring cost control measures.

- Ensuring proper knowledge transfer and documentation at project closure.

- Assisting Management in strategic planning and project pipeline forecasting.

- Supporting proposal preparation, tender submissions, and cost estimation when required.

- Participating in client presentations and business development initiatives.

- Mentoring and guiding team members to enhance productivity and performance.

- Performing any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Skills and Experience

Academic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/ Management/Information Technology (IT) Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related field.

- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT or system implementation projects.

- Proven experience managing full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.

- Experience handling government or corporate clients is an added advantage.

- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Skills

- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

- Good time management and organisational skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
