What you'll be doing
- Manage the day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services
- Maintain and update the company's inventory and stock levels to ensure efficient supply chain operations
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to coordinate the timely delivery of goods and services
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize purchasing processes
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure the effective distribution and delivery of purchased items
- Provide comprehensive reporting and data analysis to support decision-making
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
