Key Responsibilities1. IT Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to staff, lecturers, and management for hardware, software, network, printer, email, and system-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve IT problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist users with computer setup, login issues, software installation, and basic system usage.
- Record and report recurring IT issues for monitoring and improvement.
2. Hardware and Software Management
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, CCTV, routers, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure all devices are functioning properly and updated when required.
- Monitor software licenses and ensure proper usage of approved software only.
- Support the setup of IT equipment for meetings, classes, events, and training sessions.
3. Network and System Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, LAN, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot network disruptions and coordinate with service providers when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining servers, shared drives, backup systems, and internal systems.
- Ensure proper access control and user account management.
4. Data Security and IT Compliance
- Support basic cybersecurity practices, including antivirus updates, password control, system updates, and data protection.
- Ensure staff follow IT usage policies and protect confidential organizational data.
- Monitor possible security risks and report suspicious activities to management.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, and system security checks.
5. Website, System, and Digital Platform Support
- Support the maintenance of the organization’s website, learning platforms, email system, and other digital tools.
- Assist with minor website updates, content upload, and technical troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with vendors or developers for system-related issues when required.
- Support online forms, digital records, and internal workflow systems.
6. IT Asset Management
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, including computers, laptops, printers, accessories, software, and licenses.
- Track asset movement, assignment, repair, replacement, and disposal.
- Conduct periodic checks on IT equipment and update asset reports.
- Ensure company IT assets are used responsibly and returned when required.
7. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare IT reports on system issues, maintenance activities, equipment status, and support requests.
- Maintain proper documentation for IT procedures, passwords, asset records, vendor details, and system access.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding IT operations and technical concerns.
8. Administrative and Operational Support
- Assist in academic or corporate events requiring IT setup and technical support.
- Support management in implementing new IT systems or process improvements.
- Liaise with vendors, internet providers, software providers, and maintenance contractors.
- Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Networking, Software Engineering, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or technical support is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge may also be considered.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, troubleshooting, and basic cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Windows OS, email systems, printers, routers, and basic website/system support.
- Able to work independently and respond quickly to technical issues.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to handle confidential information.
