Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications for ship design and construction.
- Plan and supervise shipbuilding and repair projects, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with all other disciplines of engineers and project managers during all phases of construction.
- Ensure all design meet international maritime regulations ( IMO, SOLAS, ABS, etc)
- Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Resolve engineering issues that arise during fabrication and assembly.
- Liaise with design consultant, owner’s representative, classification surveyor, production, suppliers, etc on all engineering matters.
- Perform ship inspections.
- Implement new technologies and methods to improve shipbuilding efficiency and sustainability.
- Maintain documentation, technical reports and progress updates.
- Attend project meeting, sea trials/yard trials if necessary.
- Assist To implement and ensure the compliance of company quality system, i.e.ISO 9001:2015.
Requirement
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Engineering .
- At least 1 years relevant experiences in shipbuilding industry.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.(verbal and written).
- Work at Kuala Baram , Miri
