You’re a Production Support specialist who believes that the true test of software happens after the "Go-Live." You are the guardian of system stability, an expert troubleshooter, and a calm voice during critical incidents. You don’t just restart services; you dig into the code and data to understand why things failed, ensuring that our clients’ web solutions are resilient, observable, and high-performing.

Your Role as a Zenika Consultant:

As a consultant, you will be embedded within a client’s Performance & Sustainability team. You will take ownership of the "Run" phase for critical applications, ensuring they meet the high standards of a modern production environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Production Monitoring & Health: Proactively monitor application health and performance using Datadog and cloud-native dashboards. Identify trends before they become outages.

  • Incident Management & Resolution: Act as the primary responder for application incidents. You will diagnose, mitigate, and resolve issues across Python, Java, and SQL layers to minimize business impact.

  • Deep-Dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct thorough investigations into recurring issues. Partner with development teams to implement long-term fixes and prevent future occurrences.

  • Cloud Operations & Deployment: Support applications hosted on AWS. Assist in the deployment of new releases and patches via CI/CD pipelines, ensuring safety and rollback readiness.

  • System Optimization: Analyze application performance and implement tuning measures (SQL optimization, resource scaling) to ensure system sustainability.

  • Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to automate manual support tasks (toil). Maintain high-quality runbooks and technical documentation for the support knowledge base.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear technical support to end-users and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders during high-pressure situations.

What you bring:

  • Only Singaporeans may apply due to the nature of the project.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in application support or production engineering.

  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Languages: Strong command of SQL

  • Environment: Deep familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting.

  • Cloud & Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS, Datadog, and Git.

  • DevOps Literacy: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Mindset: An Agile, fast learner who enjoys complex problem-solving and works well in a collaborative team environment.
