Job Description

The IT Operations team is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and managing day-to-day system operations supporting the Front Office trading business across Pan Asia.

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Fixed Income Application Support professional to support Front Office trading platforms, ensuring seamless trading, pricing, and trade lifecycle execution. The candidate will work closely with traders, sales, and operations teams, providing real-time support for trading activities (RFQ, pricing, trade booking) and ensuring high system availability for mission-critical Front Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time production support for Fixed Income Front Office trading systems, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
  • Support key trading platforms such as ION, Bloomberg TOMS, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, MarkitWire, and Murex.
  • Handle pricing and RFQ (Request for Quote) workflows, ensuring accurate price distribution and timely responses to traders.
  • Support trade booking, trade validation, and lifecycle events, ensuring trades are correctly captured and processed.
  • Monitor end-to-end trade flows, including Pricing Execution Booking
  • Downstream Interfaces.
  • Perform daily system health checks, trading readiness checks, and market open support.
  • Act as the first point of contact for traders and Front Office users for trading-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to pricing feeds, market data, trade capture, and system connectivity.
  • Perform incident management with strong SLA adherence, especially during trading hours.
  • Communicate effectively with traders during live issues, providing clear status updates and resolution timelines.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal technology teams for issue resolution and system enhancements.
  • Support production releases, trading environment changes, and market-specific setups.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance runbooks, trading support procedures, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Proactively identify improvements for automation, monitoring, and trading efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 4–6 years of IT production support experience within financial institutions.
  • At least 3+ years of direct Fixed Income Front Office trading support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting traders in a live trading environment is mandatory.

Mandatory Technical Skillset

Strong Support Experience In:

  • ION (mandatory / highly preferred)
  • Bloomberg TOMS
  • MarkitWire (highly preferred)
  • TradeWeb (preferred)
  • MarketAxess (preferred)
  • Murex (preferred)

Experience Supporting:

  • RFQ workflows
  • Pricing and market data distribution
  • Trade booking and trade lifecycle processes

Functional Knowledge

Strong Understanding Of:

  • Fixed Income products, including Bonds, Repo, Rates, and Credit products.

Solid Knowledge Of Front Office Trading Lifecycle:

Pricing RFQ Execution Trade Capture Booking
  • Settlement

Familiarity With:

  • Market data feeds (Bloomberg)
  • Trading connectivity and interfaces

Core Competencies

  • Experience handling high-pressure trading floor environments with real-time decision-making.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex trade and pricing issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with traders and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization skills in time-critical trading scenarios.
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls in Front Office systems.
