Job Description

Responsibilities

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for supporting the purchasing department in sourcing, ordering, and coordinating the delivery of goods and materials required by the company. This role ensures that purchases are processed efficiently, stock levels are maintained, and supplier communications are handled effectively. The Purchasing Clerk will also maintain accurate purchasing records and coordinate closely with suppliers, most of whom are based in China.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily purchasing operations and prepare purchase orders.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding product pricing, order confirmation and delivery schedule.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure sufficient inventory.
  • Check and verify delivery orders, invoices, and related documents.
  • Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier lists and price comparisons.
  • Coordinate with warehouse to ensure goods received match purchase orders.
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers, mainly from China, regarding orders and shipment updates.
  • Assist in sourcing new suppliers and obtaining quotations when required.
  • Perform other administrative and purchasing duties assigned by management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
