Position : Teacher

Reporting to : Principal

Job Purpose

The Teacher is responsible to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a primary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfil their academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the Principal.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• 1. To teach full time
• 2. Engaging young minds and helping them explore the world.
• 3. Nurturing children and teenagers to grow holistically.
• 4. Guiding students to explore academic content and apply it in the real world.
• 5. Prepare test papers and revision papers to prepare students for their exams.
• 6. Managing students in a class
• 7. Planning and executing CCA programmes & activities
• 8. Creating lesson plans in compliance with school curriculum, administering homework and school projects, grading the work, and giving appropriate feedback to the students.
• 9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job and Person Specification

• 1. Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Teaching or equivalent.
• 2. Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students’ welfare.
• 3. PC literate and able to use multi-media resources in the classroom.
• 4. Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined and responsible.
• 5. Strong commitment and passion for education.
• 6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• 7. Fluent in written and verbal English, BM and Mandarin.
• 8. Excellent Subject knowledge in subject.

Additional Requirements

• 1. Relevant teaching certification (eg CICTL, DICTL, PGCE).
• 2. At least two (2) years of teaching experience in relevant field in International School.
• 3. Ability to show evidence of further professional development.
• 4. Ability to teach outside of specialist area.
• 5. Ability to use and understand assessment data.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
