Job Description & Requirements:
We're looking for a highly organized and motivated full-time Design & Merchandising Operations Executive to act as the primary bridge between our Design team and our global manufacturing partners. Unlike a pure design role, your mission is execution and delivery. You will own the production calendar, ensuring that Our Second Nature (OSN) and Atlas Kind (AK) collections move from approved tech-packs to finished goods without delays. You are the "Project Manager" of the product lifecycle—managing timelines, troubleshooting manufacturing bottlenecks, and ensuring every piece meets our quality standards.
We offer attractive salary packages, benefits and career growth potential. The current position offered will be Design & Merchandising Operations Executive or such other post as determined by the Employer, its holding company or its associate or subsidiary companies (together called the "Group"). This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Why Join Us?
- Competitive Compensation: We offer attractive salary packages and comprehensive benefits.
- Growth Opportunities: We are committed to your career progression and offer genuine growth potential within the Group.
- Dynamic Culture: Join a brand where your love for what we do is celebrated.
Key Responsibilities: -
a/Project Management & Timeline Oversight:
- Production Calendar: Develop and maintain the master production schedule for all categories (Apparel & Living). Track every milestone from sampling to shipment.
- Deadline Enforcement: Proactively follow up with factories and internal teams to ensure deliverables are met. Flag potential delays to management early with proposed solutions.
- Workflow Optimization: Analyze and refine the "Design-to-Delivery" workflow to improve speed-to-market and operational efficiency.
b/Manufacturing & Supplier Liaison:
- Primary Point of Contact: Act as the day-to-day lead for all communications with suppliers and artisans in Malaysia, China, and beyond.
- Production Tracking: Monitor the status of Bulk Production (TNA - Time and Action calendars). Ensure factories have all necessary trims, fabrics, and approved samples to begin production.
- Costing & Negotiation: Manage price lists and production quotes. Collaborate with management to ensure production stays within budget and meets ROI targets.
c/Quality Control & Technical Coordination:
- Tech-Pack Stewardship: While the designers create the tech-packs, you ensure they are "factory-ready" and accurately interpreted by the makers.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct or coordinate strict quality control checks on pre-production (PP) and top-of-production (TOP) samples to ensure they match OSN’s high standards.
- Issue Resolution: Lead the "Build vs. Buy" analysis for the Living range, identifying which items can be sourced locally vs. manufactured bespoke.
d/Supply Chain & Sourcing:
- Supplier Development: Research and onboard new "adhoc" suppliers or niche makers, especially for the Living and Accessories lines.
- Material Management: Oversee the sourcing and delivery of raw materials/trims to factories to prevent production halts.
e/Creative Support and Ad Hoc Projects
- Assisting with illustrations, packaging and graphic design as required
- Overseeing design and production for OSN Living / Core and Collectibles merchandise and any event-related products (pop-ups or store activations)
- Participating in material sourcing trips, trade shows, and factory visits when necessary
- Reporting to Superiors, Directors and assisting with any other matters required
Who We Are Looking For:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Fashion Management, Supply Chain, or a related business field.
- Experience: 1–3 years in Production Coordination, Apparel Merchandising, or Fashion Project Management
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office for production trackers and costing sheets (Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
- A creative flair and deep appreciation for the aesthetics and design ethos of OSN and AK
- Working proficiency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written, required to liaise with overseas manufacturers
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational, time management, communication and problem solving skills
- A self-starter who demonstrates initiative, accountability and ownership
- Creative, resourceful with the ability to think strategically and practically
- A collaborative team player with a positive and professional attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think out of the box and come up with solutions that are practical, scalable, sustainable, and cost-efficient (e.g., production snags such as fabric shortages and shipping delays)
- Love for Our Second Nature is an added bonus!
