A Field Support Assistant (or Field Technician) performs on-site technical, manual, or logistical tasks, ensuring operational efficiency outside a traditional office. Responsibilities include equipment installation, maintenance, data collection, and safety compliance, requiring adaptability and strong communication.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities
- On-site Installation & Maintenance: Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at client or project locations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Gather field data, maintain records, and submit service reports accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Logistics & Troubleshooting: Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, and resolve technical issues in real-time.
- Client Communication: Provide on-site support and training to clients on proper equipment usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- SPM (secondary school) – basic entry requirement
- STPM
- TVET certificates (very preferred)
- Technical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of machinery, software, or tools relevant to the industry.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in variable field conditions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Adaptable to changing locations, schedules, and urgent maintenance needs.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
