1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis

- Conduct detailed assessments of patients’ physical conditions through observation, interviews, and functional tests.

- Review medical history and evaluate muscle strength, joint mobility, posture, pain level, and physical limitations.

- Identify problems and set realistic short-term and long-term treatment goals.

2. Treatment Planning

- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient condition, age, needs, and goals.

- Create therapy schedules and outline progress milestones.

- Educate patients and caregivers about their condition and recovery plans.

3. Therapy Implementation

Apply a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including:

- Therapeutic exercises (strengthening, stretching, range of motion)

- Manual therapy (massage, joint mobilization)

- Electrotherapy (TENS, ultrasound, infrared)

- Postural and gait training

- Heat and cold therapy

- Breathing and balance techniques

4. Progress Monitoring

- Track patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.

- Maintain consistent communication with medical doctors or referring specialists.

- Reassess patient condition regularly to ensure effective outcomes.

5. Patient Education & Preventive Care

- Teach home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.

- Advise patients on correct posture, workplace ergonomics, and body mechanics to prevent further injury.

- Promote long-term health and fitness habits.

6. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes.

- Prepare reports for internal use, doctors, insurance claims, or other relevant parties.

- Comply with documentation standards and confidentiality regulations.

7. Equipment and Facility Management

- Ensure proper use and maintenance of physiotherapy equipment.

- Monitor the safety, hygiene, and functionality of all therapy tools and treatment spaces.

- Report any malfunctions or needs for equipment repair/replacement.

8. Team Collaboration

- Work closely with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care

- Participate in clinical discussions and case conferences.

- Guide interns or junior staff if required.

- Treat all patients equally regardless of gender; staff are not allowed to choose patients based on gender preferences

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
