Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of technicians.
- Schedule shifts, assign work orders, and perform quality checks on all completed repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute a rigorous preventative maintenance schedule for elevators, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and fire safety equipment.
- Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for urgent technical issues (power outages, pipe bursts, etc.) and coordinate rapid service recovery to minimize disruption to tenants and guests.
- Contractor Management: Oversee external vendors and specialized contractors for major equipment overhauls, ensuring work is done on time, within budget, and up to safety standards.
- Energy & Cost Management: Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives to optimize the building’s operational costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure the property remains 100% compliant with local council (DBKU/MBKS) regulations and occupational health and safety (OSHA) standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in building maintenance or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in a hotel or shopping mall environment is highly preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Strong working knowledge of electrical (wireman certification is a major plus), plumbing, HVAC systems, and general civil works.
- Problem-Solver: A "fix-it" mindset with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues quickly.
- Communication: Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical management and tenants.
- Education: Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
