Job Summary and Role

We are looking for a responsible and reliable experienced Lorry/Truck Driver to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible to ensure timely distribution in deliveries/pick ups to and from customers/supliers site in safe and efficient manner covering short and long haul travels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver/check and verify a wide variety of goods/or items to scheduled addresses of/to suppliers, Customers and Subcons on time.
• Drive with safety and precaution at all times to required delivery addresses promptly.
• Assist in Loading and Unloading of parts, items, finished products with care and in safe manner.
• Verify Shipping and Delivery Documents before and after each Delivery.
• Able to perform vehicle and truck inspection to see any sign of concerns or problems that needed attention on repair and service to avoid breakdowns.
• Maintain vehicles in a safe and clean condition.
• Observe and follow all safety rules, traffic regulations on the road/sites and to report on cause of delays or accidents to management HODs.

Candidate Education and Experience

• Able to interact with suppliers and customers on site of deliveries to ensure smooth handovers.
• Skills used in proper lifting techniques to avoid ergonomic injuries. Must be fit, strong and in-shape to handle heavy loading activities.
• Posses valid driving License for truck/vehicles and minimum 1 year experience as Delivery Driver.
• Good and clean driving record and free from drug offences.
• Able to read road maps and identified shortest/alternative routes in event of road jams delays to deliver committed timelines to customers and suppliers sites.
