MDM Engineer / DeveloperJob Purpose

The MDM Engineer/Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. The role ensures that business data is accurate, consistent, and properly managed across different systems. The person will work closely with IT and business teams to support business goals and improve data quality.

Key Responsibilities1. MDM Development

• Design and develop MDM solutions for customer, product, and other master data.
• Create and maintain data models and relationships.
• Configure matching and merging rules for duplicate data.
• Build data loading processes for batch and real-time data.

2. Data Integration

• Integrate MDM systems with other applications and databases.
• Develop APIs and data services for sharing master data.
• Work with ETL/ELT tools to transfer and synchronize data.

3. Data Quality & Governance

• Implement data quality checks and validation rules.
• Support data review and correction activities.
• Ensure compliance with company data governance standards.

4. Testing & Support

• Prepare and execute unit and integration testing.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot data and system issues.
• Maintain technical documentation.

5. Team Collaboration

• Work with business analysts, architects, and data teams.
• Understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Contribute to MDM standards and best practices.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or MDM development.
• Hands-on experience with MDM tools such as:
• Informatica MDM
• IBM InfoSphere MDM
• SAP MDG
• Reltio
• Semarchy

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage)
• API integration (REST/SOAP)
• Messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ)
• Data modelling and metadata management
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of Customer/Party MDM and KYC processes.
• Experience with data quality tools and metadata management.
• Understanding of real-time data synchronization and event-driven architecture.

Certifications

• MDM or Data Governance certification is preferred.

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
