Job Posting Details
The Department of Economics in the School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology seeks applicants for the position of Senior Lecturer / Lecturer I on a part-time or full-time basis. Major responsibilities will be teaching master’s (including MBA) and undergraduate courses, and providing student-related services.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in economics or a related field and be able to teach in English. They should have a good teaching record and/or extensive professional experience. Those capable of teaching global macroeconomics courses for MBA students are particularly welcome to apply. Applicants with less experience will be considered for appointment as Lecturer I. (Duration: 1 to 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of a 2-year contract.
