Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Ambulance Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for emergency medical services. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. This role involves operating emergency and non-emergency vehicles, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining vehicle readiness. The Ambulance Driver plays a vital part in delivering timely medical assistance and supporting healthcare teams in urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate ambulance vehicles and other emergency response vehicles during transports.
• Assist paramedics and medical personnel with patient loading, unloading, and securing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of the vehicle to ensure operational readiness.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical teams, and patients to coordinate smooth transportation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during driving duties.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring comfort and safety for patients during transit.

Experience

• Prior experience in shuttle driving, delivery driver roles, bus driving, or limousine services is preferred.
• Experience with paratransit or commercial driving enhances suitability for this position.
• Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting and handling medical or mobility equipment is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, medical staff, and dispatch personnel.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures is beneficial to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; specific endorsements such as driver or school bus driving certification are a plus. This position requires a responsible individual committed to safety, customer care, and efficient transportation services in emergency settings.
• Defensive driving will be at advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 44 per week

• Driving: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Class 3A Driving Licence (Preferred)
