Xsquare is seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Engineer to join our hardware team on a part-time basis. This role is critical in transitioning our autonomous forklift designs into a formalized, production-ready ecosystem. You will be responsible for digitizing schematic designs, managing complex cable harnesses, and ensuring our Bill of Materials (BOM) is flawless within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Key Responsibilities
- ECAD Design & Integration: Capture and refine schematic designs and intricate cable harnesses using Solidworks Electrical.
- Data Synchronization: Migrate and manage design data within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, ensuring seamless integration between electrical and mechanical 3D environments.
- Component Management: Audit existing designs to identify missing or incorrect part numbers. Research and update the database with accurate specifications and manufacturer data.
- Production Readiness: Generate comprehensive BOMs (Bill of Materials), manage version control (check-in/check-out processes), and assist in formalizing physical assembly designs.
- Iterative Maintenance: Collaborate with the troubleshooting team to update electrical designs in real-time as hardware modifications are made during testing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or currently enrolled in a relevant program (for interns).
- Software Expertise: * Essential: Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical (2D/3D).
- Platform: Experience with or a quick ability to learn Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Technical Knowledge: * Understanding of cable harness routing and connector selection.
