About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to manage enterprise Linux infrastructure in a high-availability data centre environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including Red Hat and CentOS
- Perform system updates, patch management, and security hardening
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems
- Implement and manage monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot incidents
- Work with hypervisors such as RHEV Hypervisor and VMware
- Create and manage virtual machines and maintain virtualised environments
- Diagnose and resolve system and application-level issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements
- Support DevOps automation initiatives and infrastructure operations
Must-have Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience as a Linux Engineer or Linux Administrator
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, including Red Hat and CentOS
- Strong shell scripting skills
- Experience in DevOps practices and automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins
- Experience with on-premises or physical servers
- Hands‑on cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as RHEV Hypervisor or VMware
- Experience supporting enterprise Linux infrastructure in data centre or production environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Familiarity with automation and infrastructure management practices
- Exposure to DevOps pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code environments
- Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise or telecom infrastructure environments
