Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver commercial projects within established deadlines and budgets.

• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in alignment with client and business requirements.

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and communication documentation.

• Communicate project expectations clearly to internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

• Estimate resources, manpower, and materials required to achieve project goals.

• Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring quality, cost control, and timeline adherence.

• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to project team members.

• Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, conflicts, and technical issues.

• Track milestones and provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, including planning, coordination, installation, testing, and handover.

• Coordinate M&E works for commercial buildings, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, ELV systems, HVAC coordination, fire protection systems, and authority approvals.

• Liaise with consultants, main contractors, local authorities, and utility providers where required.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).

• Minimum 5 years and above of project management experience in commercial building, M&E, or construction projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of building electrical systems and/or mechanical systems.

• Proven experience managing commercial or mixed-development projects.

• Familiarity with project management tools and scheduling software.

• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Open to candidates from any state who are willing to be based in Penang.
  

Skills

• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

• Experience in contract administration and subcontractor management.

• Proficient in risk management and cost control.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SLDs, layouts, and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of local authority submission processes and compliance requirements.

Work Environment:

You will work in an office setting with regular site visits, requiring interaction with clients and on-site teams. This role demands flexibility and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of projects with varying technical requirements.
