About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our vibrant team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This full-time position offers hands-on involvement in the sales and technical support of our innovative products, helping clients in the Malaysian market achieve top-tier process safety through end-to-end solutions—from sensor technology to predictive maintenance. Key Responsibilities

• Technical Consultation & Support: Providing expert technical guidance to clients, focusing on best practices for product integration and usage within their specific operational environments. This includes proactive problem-solving and addressing inquiries with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

• Site Assessments & Demonstrations: Conducting thorough on-site evaluations of client facilities and presenting engaging product demonstrations that clearly illustrate the value and benefits of Riken Keiki’s solutions in mitigating hazards.

• Solution Development & Collaboration: Working closely with our service, project management, and sales teams to identify customer needs and collaboratively develop tailored safety solutions that enhance operational efficiency and resilience.

• Technical Issue Resolution: Effectively troubleshooting product performance issues related to calibration, functionality, or integration, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing disruption to client operations – demonstrating a commitment to reliability and responsiveness.

• Customer Training & Empowerment: Delivering comprehensive training sessions for clients on proper installation procedures, operational best practices, and preventative maintenance techniques, fostering their ability to maximize the lifespan and effectiveness of our products.

• Continuous Learning & Innovation: Staying abreast of advancements in gas detection technologies, industry standards, and emerging trends to ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of safety innovation. Sharing this knowledge internally to contribute to team expertise.

• Technical Content Creation: Contributing to the development of clear and concise marketing materials, technical documentation, and training resources that effectively communicate Riken Keiki’s commitment to quality, precision, and safety.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in application engineering, technical sales, or a similar role—bonus if you've worked in industrial safety or instrumentation.

• Sharp technical problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex scenarios.

• Outstanding communication and customer service abilities, with a talent for breaking down technical concepts for diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficiency in CAD software, product specifications, and technical documentation to support solution design and implementation.

• A solid understanding of sales processes and a collaborative spirit to team up with sales professionals for winning outcomes.

• Fluency in English, with strong skills for engaging local and international clients effectively.
