Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mechanical / Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join our team. As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems for our construction projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all M&E building services operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and oversee the installation of building services including HVAC, electrical power, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Prepare and review M&E shop drawings, schematic diagrams, load calculations, and technical specifications
• Create as-built drawings and construction drawings for project documentation and handover
• Handle billing, quotations, and related project cost documentation
• Provide technical support to the Quantity Surveying (QS) team by assisting with M&E cost estimations, verifying material quantities, and evaluating variation orders and progress claims
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, main contractors, and sub-contractors to resolve technical clashes and integration issues on-site
• Manage and supervise the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of all mechanical and electrical equipment prior to handover
• Review and evaluate sub-contractor submissions, including material approvals, method statements, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals
• Monitor project progress, identify potential technical issues early, and implement effective engineering solutions

Requirements:

• Experience working in Singapore
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience working as an M&E Engineer in the building and construction industry, with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of local Singapore building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., SCDF, BCA, CP5)
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit / Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a strong advantage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and site personnel
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
• Willing to work from home and report to the Lavender office when required or needed

Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
