The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects that focus on implementing Contract Logistics systems and integrating them with customers and carriers. This role also includes managing product development and solution enhancements. It involves overseeing both individual projects and broader programs, especially those with high-demand customers, product roadmaps, and multiple change requests delivered through scheduled releases.
The IT Project Manager leads the IT work stream, coordinates activities across internal and external teams, and serves as the central point of communication for progress, issues, risks, quality and budget control.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage all project resources to deliver small and medium-scale projects within agreed timescales and to agreed budgets.
- Undertake detailed project work, managing the project through all key stages from initiation to project closure.
- Prepare and maintain all required project documentation, such as project plans, budgets, risks and issue logs, change control forms, business requirements, specifications, test scripts, cutover plans, etc., to professional quality standards with weekly progress reporting.
- Ensure project teams comply to company standards and all documentation is reviewed and approved.
- Prepare and deliver management presentations to internal and external customers in- line with business requirements.
- Manage service providers to ensure they consistently deliver high quality, value-for-money solutions to agreed criteria and within defined key performance indicators.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Logistics, or a related field.
- Formal Structured Project Management qualification - e.g. Prince II, PMP, AGILE.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a large international logistic environment.
- 2-5+ years of IT Project Management.
- Proven experience in managing project teams.
- Experience with ERP JDE Edwards Financials Migration projects.
- Integration of Blue Yonder Dispatcher to JDEdwards with focus on Inventory management/costing is preferred.
- Experience participating in workshops to collect requirements and conduct gap analysis.
