We are looking for a dedicated, professional, and empathetic Clinic Assistant / Staff Nurse to join our growing primary care team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, assisting with clinical duties, managing registrations, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic. Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Front Desk:
- Register patients, manage appointments, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Handle patient inquiries professionally via phone, WhatsApp, or walk-ins.
- Manage billing, collect payments, and assist with daily financial closing.
- Monitor and manage clinic inventory, including medications and clinical supplies.
Clinical Support:
- Assist the attending doctor during consultations, minor procedures, and examinations.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, glucose monitoring).
- Perform or assist with procedures like Catheter Bladder Drainage (CBD) care, wound dressing, and injections (if qualified as a Staff Nurse).
- Ensure all clinical areas, consultation rooms, and equipment are kept clean, sanitized, and well-organized according to infection control standards.
Working Hours & Shift Structure
The clinic operates 7 days a week to serve the community. Staff will work on a scheduled shift rotation basis to cover the following operating hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Note: Shift schedules and rest days will be planned and communicated on a monthly basis.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum SPM, Diploma in Nursing, Medical Assistant (MA), or equivalent.
- For Staff Nurses: Must possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; prior experience in a general practitioner (GP) clinic is a strong advantage.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. The ability to speak Mandarin or local dialects is highly advantageous to serve our diverse patient base.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Basic computer literacy for handling clinic management software.
