JOB DESCRIPTION:

• To understand and comply with SOI Quality Management System, Customers, Licensors, and regulatory/legal requirements
• To ensure departmental objectives is achieved
• To ensure reliability & effectiveness of all functions & operations activities of plant activities, mechanical, electrical, control & instrument engineering activities, including troubleshooting, modifications, repair, and improvement
• To support the maintenance & technical functions of the Marubeni Itochu threading Shop Standardization (MTSS) Project, led by Marubeni Itochu Tubulars Asia (MITA), as when required
• To plan, lead, organize & control all functional activities of the Engineering Department, which include:

1) Maintenance

2) Facility Management

3) Fabrication & Projects

4) Programming - periodical special programming-related functions

• Lead the team in plant maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained according to standard and any plant machinery & equipment breakdown is attended and to promptly and properly
• Develop & manage maintenance management system that includes preventive maintenance, part inventory control, control of maintenance cost, manpower control etc.
• Develop, evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies & operational excellence projects in plant & process & control & instrumentation systems.
• Workout the plan to achieve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) & ensure downtime is minimal
• To ensure training activities are conducted in accordance with the Annual Departmental Training Plan
• To prepare & present monthly & annual report
• To participate in Internal Audits as and when required.
• To comply with all HSE requirements
• To ensure good housekeeping is maintained & sustained at workplace
• To visit Labuan Plant on a periodic interval or as and when required, to support and provide advise on any maintenance issues and troubleshoot them if required
• To perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy General Manager/ Plant Manager/Senior Management.

Qualification Required & Related Experience

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or
• 8-10 years related experience in the related fields

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Experience in Site Coordination/Enginering/Design
• Programmable Logic Control (PLC) & AUTOCAD/CADCAM
• Strong leadership, Management & Communication Skill
• Strong knowledge in maintenance/troubleshooting CNC Turning & Lathe Machines

Pay: RM7,200.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
