We are seeking a disciplined, vigilant, and leadership-oriented Malaysian National to join our team as a Security Guard Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations, maintaining high discipline, and directly supervising our team of Nepalese security guards.
As the bridge between management and the ground-level security force, you will ensure total compliance with safety protocols, bridge cultural/language gaps, and maintain an elite standard of security at our assigned premises.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision & Leadership
- Directly manage, monitor, and deploy the Nepalese security guard workforce.
- Conduct daily briefings (roll-call) to communicate daily duties, safety alerts, and specific client requirements.
- Enforce strict discipline, proper uniform grooming, and punctuality among the guards.
- Manage shift scheduling, duty rosters, and leave planning to ensure 24/7 coverage without gaps.
2. Operations & Site Security
- Conduct regular patrols and spot-checks across the premises to ensure guards are alert and checkpoints are secured.
- Oversee access control for visitors, contractors, and vehicles, ensuring all security logs are meticulously maintained.
- Supervise the monitoring of CCTV systems, fire alarm panels, and other security equipment.
- Respond immediately to incidents, emergencies, or breaches of security, taking command of the situation until management or local authorities (PDRM/Bomba) arrive.
3. Communication & Training
- Act as the primary translator and mentor to Nepalese guards, ensuring they fully understand standard operating procedures (SOPs) despite language barriers.
- Provide ongoing on-the-job training regarding emergency response, customer service, and local cultural norms.
- Liaise directly with operations management and clients to report daily updates and address security concerns.
4. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and incident reports to the Security Manager.
- Maintain accurate attendance logs and verify overtime claims for the guards under supervision.
- Conduct initial investigations into any lapses in security, missing items, or misconduct, and report findings objectively.
Job Requirements
- Nationality: Strictly open to Malaysian citizens only.
- Education: Minimum of SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent.
- Age Range: 25-55 years old
- Experience managing foreign workers (specifically Nepalese guards) is a massive advantage.
- Ex-military, ex-police (PDRM), or RELA experience is highly preferred.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (essential for client communication and reporting).
- Ability to understand or speak basic Hindi/Nepali, or a proven track record of effectively overcoming language barriers with foreign staff, is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, command presence, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Physically fit and mentally alert with a clean criminal record (background checks will be conducted).
- Basic computer literacy (WhatsApp) for daily reporting.
- Availability: Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by the operational schedule. Possessing own transport is required.
