Responsibilities

Purpose Statement

Strategic manager of multiple product lines, technologies, or specialized functions. Devotes a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership, and employee development of a complex or large department or staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Manufacturing Engineering of a given area.
  • Works with Value Stream and Quality Engineering Manager to deliver business objectives – lean manufacturing metrics, VIP, cycle time, PRR, scarp as %VOP etc.
  • Responsible for developing a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in problem solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.
  • Drives IBP (Integrated Business Plan) contract deliverables by providing input on process technology selection.
  • Develops and executes departmental budgets and capital spending.
  • Leads or represents function in periodic business metric reviews.
  • Initiates cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues.
  • Prioritizes and drives execution of multiple complex department projects. Sponsors and supports Operations Value Improvement Process (VIP) or Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects.
  • Responsible for the departmental basics including budgeting, hiring, day-to-day management, project resourcing, etc.

Job Requirements

  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Leader with strong technical depth and the ability to drive organizational excellence in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, or Science.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s) is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering, with a strong track record in leadership roles within multinational corporations (MNCs)
  • Extensive experience in:
    • Process and Equipment Sustaining Engineering
    • New Product Introduction (NPI) and Technology Transfer
    • Industry 4.0 / advanced manufacturing initiatives
    • Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments is highly preferred
    • Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, influence, and lead large, diverse teams
    • Proven capability to drive cross-functional collaboration and align stakeholders toward common goals
    • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams
    • Builds and fosters a culture of diversity, inclusion, and high performance
    • Leverages internal and external networks to drive organizational change and transformation
    • Skilled in negotiating win-win outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
    • Persuasive and impactful communicator with strong executive presence
    • Acts as a role model and motivator across the department or business unit
    • Comfortable operating outside of comfort zone, embracing ambiguity and change
    • Highly resilient and adaptable, with strong ability to navigate complex challenges
